BEFORE WE EVEN KNOW WHY..

With each line, curve, and texture, I create pieces that tell stories — of places, affections, and memories. Inspired by Brazilian architecture, organic forms, and the silence of natural materials, I design furniture that welcomes, stirs, and endures. More than objects, I create presence.

I am Álefer Weschenfelder, an interior designer with a career built between Brazil and Portugal. Over the past few years, I have dedicated myself to developing residential and commercial projects, always guided by a refined aesthetic approach, intelligent functionality, and an emotional connection with spaces. I graduated in Interior Design and furthered my studies in neuroarchitecture, biophilic design, and contemporary furniture, areas that strongly influence the way I create sensory, welcoming, and timeless atmospheres. Each project I sign is born from the dialogue between architecture, human behavior, and beauty in its purest essence. I believe in the power of design as a tool for transformation, both aesthetic and emotional, and I constantly seek new materials and techniques that elevate the experience of living. In addition to working with interiors, I am also a furniture designer, creating signature pieces that express emotions and my passion for the authenticity of “fatto a mano.” Today, at the head of Studio AW, I continue with the purpose of sharing feelings and stories through sensory design that transcends contexts and moves people.

INTUIÇÃO

COLLECTION /// 2026

The Intuition Collection is born as a silent manifesto of the creative process in contemporary design. More than a series of furniture pieces, the collection proposes a way of thinking: creating from feeling, from inner listening, and from the sensitive relationship between form, material, and presence in space. Each piece in the Collection carries an intention. The Intuition Collection inaugurates a narrative, a continuous process of creation that expands over time, with new chapters, new typologies, and new interpretations of the same sensitive language. The Intuition Collection is design that is born from feeling and endures through presence.

Aura is the starting point, the first piece of the Intuition Collection. It is the piece that materializes the moment when the invisible becomes form. Made of contrast and balance, it expresses the beginning of something greater: a line of furniture guided by intuition as the language of design.

Aura é o ponto de partida, a primeira peça da Coleção Intuition. É a peça que materializa o momento em que o invisível se torna forma. Feita de contraste e equilíbrio, ela expressa o início de algo maior: uma linha de móveis guiada pela intuição como linguagem do design.

Aura Algarve Armchair

ECO is born from the same design language as the Aura armchair, extending its lines into new possibilities. From embracing curves now emerges a bench that can have three or two seats, or even be reduced to an individual pouf. A natural extension of Aura, resonating in the space and adapting to different ways of living.

ECO nasce da mesma linguagem de design da poltrona Aura, ampliando suas linhas para novas possibilidades. Das curvas envolventes surge agora um banco que pode ter três ou dois assentos, ou mesmo ser reduzido a um pufe individual. Uma extensão natural da Aura, que ressoa no espaço e se adapta a diferentes modos de vida.

April 20th - 26th

The LUME coffee table, like any focal point, brings structure and depth. It is where, for me, the design gains weight and stillness of contemplation, creating a balance between the solid and the delicate.

A mesa de centro LUME, como qualquer elemento central, confere estrutura e profundidade. É nela que, para mim, o design ganha peso e a tranquilidade da contemplação, criando um equilíbrio entre o sólido e o delicado.

The AURA armchair, in red leather, represents that first gesture. It is a piece with a strong presence that confidently occupies the space without losing that sense of warmth. There is a natural tension between strength and comfort. The same tension that exists in every beginning.

A poltrona AURA, em couro vermelho, representa esse primeiro gesto. É uma peça de forte presença que ocupa o espaço com segurança, sem perder aquela sensação de aconchego. Há uma tensão natural entre força e conforto. A mesma tensão que existe em todo começo.

The ECO bench, in yellow velvet, serves as a continuation of the flow. It is a piece that brings a sense of lightness to the space, creating areas for pause and circulation, almost like a breath of fresh air within the room.

O banco ECO, em veludo amarelo, funciona como uma continuação do fluxo. É uma peça que confere uma sensação de leveza ao espaço, criando áreas para descanso e circulação, quase como uma lufada de ar fresco dentro da sala.
